We had a splendid Darjeeling and Sikkim trip. The only regret we have is that we missed Nathula Pass as the permit could not be arranged.

Hotel Sailung was a good choice from your side at Darjeeling.

Hotel Karma has a superb location, the only concern was its not well maintained, should have been cleaner. 

Hotel Embassy was again fine.

The Tents/Campingat Melli was fantastic, the only concern was that they started to leak when it rained.

Overall a good trip and well managed. 

Sangeeta was always available for help and to manage any concerns, thanks for the support and care.

Appreciate the support you have provided throughout ..... very happy with Denzong Leisure especially Priyam and Sangeeta.

We were in a group of 4 families with 8 adults & 4 kids. We stayed in "Heaven on Earth" this summer (April 30 to May 4). Had a marvelous experience with Denzong Leisure. The guides & drivers were very courteous. 

Picked us up from Srinagar Airport. There was curfew in the city, but tourists vehicles were allowed to go without any trouble. The drivers worked hard to find out a good restaurant for lunch. Reached Pahalgam in the evening. 

Next day, visited the beautiful Chandanwadi & Betaab Valley and then shifted to Gulmarg. 

On the 3rd day, went upto the 2nd phase of Gondola. Unless you go this place, you will not believe that such heaven exists on the earth. Weather God was kind enough during the entire trip. Breath-taking view from 4200mts, all Whites. Imtiyaz was a great guide at Gulmarg. After coming back to phase 1, had lunch on restaurant on the snow. First time, experienced skiing, sledge, snow mobiles. It was an experience which we can never forget. 

Shifted to beautiful Srinagar in the evening and stayed in super-deluxe Monalisa house boat. Again, that was an experience. 

Had Shikara ride with lot of mouth-watering foods. Next day visited all the gardens. 

Overall, it was a great experience. A big big thanks to the team of Denzong Leisure.

Trek Sandakphu - The Highest Himalayan Mountain Peak in West Bengal, India

Sandakfu or Sandakhphu is the highest peak of West Bengal situated on the border of West Bengal of India and Nepal at an altitude of around 12,000 ft and in the area of Singalila National Park. Sandakphu means "Height of the Poison Plant" derives its name from the poisonous plants that grow near the top.

From Sandakphu the best view of the mountain Kanchendzonga is possible, which is known as the Sleeping Buddha or the Sleeping Shiva. On any clear day trekkers, travellers gets mesmerized by the awesome view of Mt. Kanchenjunga (3rd Highest peak in the world), Mt. Everest (The highest Peak in the world), Lhotse and Makalu.

Phalut on Singhalila Range situated close to 12000 ft and is just 22 kilometers away from Sandakphu. The Phalut top is try junction of Nepal, Sikkim and India. Another attraction of this area is the old Landover  introduced by British people in the year 1948. Traveling up to Sandakhu (Some time up to Phalut) by Landrover is a memorable experience for those tourists who are not able to walk. There are lots of trekking route from Sandakphu and Phalut for the amateur and professional trekkers.

Manebhanjan -  (2150 m; 26°59'19"N 88°7'18"E),  the gateway of the Singalila National Park, is a village in the Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal in India, lies on the border between India and Nepal. It is the start of the trailhead for the trek to Sandakphu on the Singalila Ridge and the income of the local residents is geared towards tourism. Manebhanjan  can be reached directly from New Jalpaiguri  Railway Station where hired vehicles are available.

Kalipokhri or Land of the Black Lake is a small hamlet, at an altitude of just over 3000 m en-route to Sandakphu, gets its name from a small pond. Kalipokhri is a holy place for those following Buddhism. It is believed that Nepalese villagers worship the black lake and no one is allowed to take a swim or a dip in this lake.

Tonglu (3036 m) is a trekker’s paradise for a stay on the way to Sandakfu from Mane Bhanjyang. At an altitude of 3036 m Tonglu is one of the higher peaks of the Singalila Ridge and a small settlement inside the Singalila National Park in the Darjeeling subdivision, Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal in India near the India - Nepal border. Wonderful trekker’s hut, heartfelt hospitality, majestic Kanchendzonga at the backdrop and above all breathtaking view of sunrise have all made this place an adorable place to stay.

Best time to Trek Sandakphu is from Spring (April-May) when the wild flowers and rhododendron are in its fullest bloom. This time the weather is pleasant and offers best view of Kanchenjungha on a sunny day. The Monsoon months (July-August) are not very pleasant because of the rain.
