Sundarban is open to all tourists throughout the year. Getting through Sundarban from Kolkata barely takes 2 to 2.30 hrs by any car, so traveling is not the matter. Now the fact is when?

We would definitely not suggest anybody travel to Sundarban between the end of March to end of September. As Sundarban is adjacent to the Bay of Bengal, tourists can experience heavy rainfall in the monsoon season (July to September) including thunderstorms and lightning.
