Kashmir can be had in a myriad different flavors, listing out a few of my favorite ones!
- A World that’s different
The Indian sub-continent
is geographically diverse, true. However for the most part if you travel from
Assam to Maharashtra, or from Delhi to Kerala, you will probably never stop at
a tourist spot, scratch your head and think “Am I in India or what?” With
Kashmir that is exactly what you get – An other-worldly experience. Kashmir is
so geographically and geologically different from the rest of the country that
you will stop and think “Where am I?” That is Kashmir.
The landscape, the weather, the flora and the fauna look more like its imported
rather than a continuation of the sub-continent. Take in all the winter beauty
of Kashmir here
and here!
- Mystery and Romance
There is an aura, an enigma about Kashmir. A shroud of mystery surrounds Kashmir. An odd, powerful gravity draws people towards the blessed valley. Perhaps this is why Kashmir has been at the very centre of so many controversies. Now, that same magnetism draws thousands of tourists from across the world to experience true paradise! Check out a package which helps you unravel some of the mystery.
- Snow - Lots of it!
Kashmir
is still the quintessential place to enjoy tons of snow in India. Any other
place in India, there is a chance that there may be snow in the winters. In fact
with Global Warming setting in these days, nothing can be taken for granted.
However, with Kashmir, you can. Gulmarg
will have snow in winter, guaranteed by Mother Earth! Enjoy the wonder of snow
in Kashmir here.
Being in an Indian city where temperatures can touch 40s and the 50s
(Centigrade) it seems simply impossible that it can snow in this country! Believe
it can in Kashmir, and
believe in the magic!
- Live your favorite movies
Shammi Kapoor, whose films like Janwar (1965), Junglee (1961) and Kashmir ki Kali (1964) all showcased and portrayed Kashmir in all its splendor and magical glory. It sparked the imagination of millions of Indians, to whom, romance became synonymous with Kashmir. Beauty that seemed more accessible and relatable compared to the Swiss-mania that followed! Kashmir never really went out of fashion though. With movies like Love in Kashmir (1976), Kabhi Kabhi (1976), Bobby (1973), Kashmir was always in the minds and hearts of us, Indians. It continued to feature in movies like Silsila (1981) and more recently in movies like Roja (1992) and Dil Se (1998). Kashmir was back with a bang! The love story continued with movies like Mission Kashmir (2000), Lakshya (2004), Rockstar (2011), Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012) and lastly Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani(2013). In fact most of what was portrayed as Manali in Yeh Jawaani was actually shot in Kashmir. Bollywood has always sold us dreams of paradise, picturized in Kashmir! Now is the chance to live your favorite movies. Travel to Kashmir! Here and Here! From fans of Shammi Kapoor to Shah Rukh Khan live your dreams in Kashmir!
