marvel of engineering. In the Qutub Complex, do not miss out on the Iron Pillar
of Delhi, which has stood for almost 17 centuries and yet shows no signs of
corrosion or rust. A metallurgical marvel.

age that once reined our country.Jama Masjid a Muslim Shrine, embellished like
a bride, is a monument said to hold history in its palm.
Also keep a day aside for a visit to the Red Fort, the official
throne of the Mughal Emperors. Constructed by the Mughal Emperor Shahjahan, the
red sand stones of this humungous monument have witnessed moments immortal. Now
a symbol of the Military of India it is featured in the Currency Notes and the
Prime Minister addresses the Nation from this prestigious fort on Independence
Day.
Plan a visit to the Rashtrapati Bhaban or the residence of the
President of India. Another architectural marvel. The Parliament Complex is
another beautiful building to behold.
Close to the Rashtrapati Bhavan is the India Gate, originally known
as the All India War Memorial. It is located at the Rajpath in New Delhi. The
42 metre tall historical monument t is often compared to the Arch de Triomphe in Paris.
Food & Culture
Take a day to indulge your taste buds with a visit to the “Paranthe Wali Gali”.
An alley specifically dedicated to foodies! Have a ‘Parantha’ which is a flat bread lightly fried in
delicious milk fat or ‘Ghee’. It comes with lots of variations. Have the Aloo
(Potato) Stuffed Parantha which is a delicacy. Head over to Connaught Place for
some curio shopping and then check out Jantar-Mantar. Jantar-Mantar consists of 13 architectural astronomy instruments,

Temple. Breathe!
Agra
The Full Moon & the Taj
On your arrival in Agra, check out the city of Agra and immerse
yourselves in the old-world charm of Historic Agra.
The Taj Mahal. ‘The’ symbol of eternal love. Built by the Mughal
Emperor Shahjahan, The Taj is a magnificent emblem of the emperor’s love for
his wife, MumtazMahal. Carved entirely out of white marble, this masterpiece is
an architectural marvel. The sheer precision of the architecture and the inlaid
work, the symmetry of the building and the proportions will leave you
speechless. A worthy member of the Seven Wonders of the World! Heart stopping!
If you time your visit to India to coincide with a full moon,
which a lot of travelers do, then seeing the Taj Mahal on a full moon night,
awash in moonlight, is a divine sight to behold. A vision worthy of the Gods.
Time this trip of a lifetime to coincide with a full moon night!
Agra Fort, a red sand stone monument, built by Shah Jahan, is a
brilliant example of the grandeur and royalty of the Mughals.A capital city
built for Agra, Fatehpur Sikri is an abandoned ruin of the golden era. Agra
dwells in your being for the rest of your life, it is one of those place which
you never forget!
Jaipur
Next head over to Jaipur. India’s “Pink City”, Jaipur is one of
the vertices of The Golden Triangle tour. Jaipur is part of what is the more
arid part of the country. Notice the change in scenery as you head towards
Jaipur.
This majestic home to erstwhile royals is
adorned with old-world charm surrounded by colorful markets and chaotic
alleys. Jaipur is a fine depiction of the regal grandiose
that has always illustrated the state of Rajasthan. Home to opulent palaces, majestic
forts and holy temples, not only has Jaipur gracefully retained its royal roots
but has also proudly displayed them for visitors to see, experience and
indulge!
Resplendent History
Jaipur’s most iconic landmark, Hawa Mahal, is a
red and pink sandstone facade fort. Here, hidden from public view, the women of
the royal family would secretly observe the activities on the street through
the palace’s latticework openings. An exquisite example of Mughal
architecture, the pyramidal design of Hawa Mahal portrays a five-store building
from the ground.
Built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh,
the City Palace interprets typical Rajput style architecture spruced up with
layers of chambers and halls. Though one fragment of the palace still remains
the residence of the royal family of Jaipur, visitors have access to other
parts of the palace complex including Mubarak Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas and Maharani
Palace.
The charm of Amber Fort is
irrefutable. Perched on a hilltop, this 15th century fort is dramatic both
in size and structure and can be pervaded through cobbled pathways leading to
its gates.
Intrigue and Mystery
Opt in for a bit of Mystery and Intrigue on your Golden Triangle

the ramparts. It is forbidden to trespass in the abandoned village of Bhangarh
post sunset. There is an official sign board by the Archaeological Survey of
